Hi, its me Linda. So glad to see you here.
I just wanted to share some thoughts with you today. I have been reading a book by James Allen. If you have never heard of him that is understandable as he was born in Leichester, England in 1864. He died in 1912. He wrote many books the one I am reading now it ‘As a Man Thinketh’.
There is mainly two parts of this book I would like to share with you. The first is in his 2nd Chapter dealing with the Effect of Thought on Circumstances. This was something that hit me very strongly and I hope it helps you also.
He said that we only become who we are when we stop whining and start looking for the hidden truth or justice that regulates our life. He goes onto say, you need to adapt your mind to that thought and stop accusing others for your present state of being. You need to start building yourself up with strong and noble thoughts; stop kicking against your circumstances and start using them as aids to your progress. When you discover that you will also discover your hidden powers and possibilities within yourself.
What does this mean to me? You are where you are for a reason and if you don’t like where you are, you need to start thinking differently own it in the fact that you are there for a reason and you are the only one that can get you out of those thoughts. It has been proven that thoughts are things so if you want different things, think awesome thoughts deep down inside and you will be amazed at the results. The quicker you can get your thoughts towards what you really want, the quicker your life will change because of it.
The second section of this book that really resonated with me is in Chapter 3 ‘Effects of Thoughts on Health and Body’. In this he states, “There is no physician like cheerful thought for dissipating the ills of the body; there is no comforter to compare with good will for dispersing the shadows of grief and sorrow.”
He goes on to say that when you start thinking well of all, and to find the good in everyone your unselfish thoughts is your way to heaven; when you spend your days in good thoughts of peace and harmony for every creature you will bring peace to their possessor.
This is really heavy stuff and in today’s world sometimes it is really difficult to do. We need to get our egos out of the way and look at what is really important in life. We are all connected, whether we realize it or not, so what you do to someone, or thoughts you have about someone are really thoughts you have about yourself, so think great thoughts and just imagine what your life will be like.
